The 'Barnraisers', who have had previous involvement with The J's Charity, had made a large quilt for an exhibition, which they kindly wanted to donate to Danbury and Villages Rotary to raise funds for the J's.
In agreement it was felt that this was best taken forward directly by the J's Charity, who are to organise their own prize draw.
Tickets will be available to buy at the Rotary Quiz night on 21st November, otherwise please contact the J's directly :

CFRs play a life-saving role locally, as often an ambulance cannot get to a patient as quickly.
Our local CFR group has 16 volunteers who cover Bicknacre, Little Baddow, Woodham Mortimer, Woodham Walter & East Hanningfield, and so far this year have had 766 call outs, with 117 of them to Maldon and Heybridge.
Usually there is only one crew on call, but after a recent successful trial they want to be able to have a second crew on call. As only one kit is provided by the Ambulance Trust, a second kit which costs about £3,500 has to be financed by the group.
Danbury and Villages Rotary are donating towards this life saving cause, and if you are able to assist, donations can be made to the account given below. Please use the reference number R199 to make sure it gets to the correct group.

Danbury & Villages Rotary assist by transferring the items donated over to Boxers Barbers in Wickford.
We thank everyone who has kindly donated in the past and those who continue to donate .
It costs you nothing, as a small percentage will be donated to Danbury & Villages Rotary by each retailer, of which there are several thousand.
Sign up using the link below, then search on Easyfundraising for the retailer required, click on the retailer and you will be taken to their website and a donation will be activated.
Once signed up, you have the option to enable Donation Reminder.
This allows you to shop as normal online without going to the easyfundraising website first.
Instead there will be a 'pop up' when a retailer is part of the scheme, which asks if you want a donation or not, which can then be accepted or rejected.
Please note, to get a donation via Amazon, the special link below requires to be used. Please add items to the basket after using the link. Any items already in the basket will not generate a donation.
